REN Multi-Mineral Pore Minimising Detox Mask

When I first bought this mask I thought it was going to be another one of those products that has all these claims but doesn't deliver. I bought this about six weeks ago to help combat these horrible fleshy coloured bumps that had appeared on my face during pregnancy and after two and a half years they were still on my face and slowly spreading. After consulting my GP I was advised they were a rare form of acne and basically are extremely deep blocked pores. My GP prescribed me with a couple of different acne treatment gels, all of which did not work but just left my skin feeling very sore and peeling. After the failed treatments I felt very disillusioned. However after much online research and memories of a close friends successful rendezvous with coal paste I decided to try either clay or coal as apparently they both have properties which supposedly draw out deeply blocked pores. By chance I stumbled across this REN mask. And wow this mask is seriously amazing!!
After my first initial use I could not believe the difference it made to the bumps (they had seriously shrunk) and the huge change in my complexion- I felt beaming! After three applications I noticed the bumps had disappeared, well all but one. Overall I cannot believe the change it has made to my complexion it has evened out my skin tone and the slightly pinkish tones around my nostrils have been reduced. I have also noticed that the thread veins on my face are less noticeable not to forget how smooth and soft my skin feels after use!!
The consistency is quite thick but I think that's quite normal for a clay type mask. However it is spreadable- I did find that the masks works better if its not spread too thin.I cleanse my face removing all traces of make up and then apply the mask with a medium to thick coverage concentrating on problem areas more.I leave the mask on for ten minutes but tend to find they are usually a few patches still wet.I then usually wait another ten minutes and then rub of the mask and then wash off and any remaining residue. And that's it!
For me this face mask is amazing and definitely a keeper!!! ~N~ xoxo

Maybeline Dream Satin Liquid

I have been using this foundation in conjunction with many other high end foundations (Mac, Bobbi Brown etc) but I do find myself reaching for this foundation alot more as I just love it! Plus I'm on my second bottle so I think that speaks volumes.
What I love about this foundation is that it looks flawless but you still have that natural glow coming through. As well as the fact as I've never had any reaction or breakout from using it.Whereas Mac Studio Fix and Skin Mineralise does trigger spots for me.I also like the fact that it doesn't look orangey on my face at all even when using different Primers or with my everyday moisturiser as my Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation tends to look orangey when I use certain moisturisers.I know this foundation claims to deliver a 100% poreless look and I do have a few large pores and it does disguise them, but maybe not 100%.I also like the way this foundation makes my skin feel-smooth and silky.
The consistency is great and totally blendable.I would say it has medium coverage that is buildable. I really like this foundation as it gives me that satin, dewy look that I love.Plus if you want to give yourself that extra pop team it up with the Body Shop's Shimmer Waves in Peach. The outcome is a flawless radiant look!
I think it does have a variety of colour shades, with some really light shades too, I believe they are eight to choose from but unfortunately I don't think it has many deep shades for darker Asian and AfroCaribean skin which is a shame as its a lovely formula.
It is priced at £7.99 and Boots does tend to have it on promotion quite frequently so it's a great price!
I would say this foundation is definitely worth a try! ~N~xoxo
